Drake has teamed up with dance music producer DJ Gordo for two new tracks — “Sideways” and “Healing”.
The songs appear on the new LP Diamante, the latest project from Gordo (formerly known as DJ Carnage). When Gordo teased the LP’s tracklist, he noted Drake’s contribution on “Sideways”, but the last track (‘Healing’) on the list was blurred out. Gordo also had previously teased the new project this spring on his socials, posting a photo of himself with Drake.
The pair has previously collaborated on six songs featured on Drake’s 2022 dance album, Honestly, Nevermind, including the hit “Sticky” and “Massive.” Gordo and Drake also teamed up for “Rich Baby Daddy” featuring SZA and Sexyy Red on his 2023 LP, For All the Dogs.
When promoting Diamante, the DJ spoke on his close relationship with Drake and what it meant to have him as a frequent collaborator: “We’ve been friends for years but had never actually properly collaborated on music before ‘Honestly, Nevermind.’ To have him on my debut album speaks volumes about what people can expect on it.”
